U Thaung Su Nyein

Mr. Thaung Su Nyein is an entrepreneur leading over 500 employees in several businesses: print and digital media including 7Day News, eGovernment and ICT, MICE and other service businesses. He’s also an active member and contributor to technology and business associations.

Mr. Thaung Su Nyein returned to Myanmar at the end of 1999, and founded an IT software company called Maze Media in 2000. Maze merged with Myanmar Inforithm Ltd., and the company became Inforithm Maze. The name was later changed to Information Matrix Co., Ltd. and the company’s businesses now include publishing (news media), ICT and MICE businesses.

Mr. Thaung Su Nyein started publishing Internet Journal in 2000, and is now the publisher and/or CEO of several market leading publications including 7Day News, Internet Journal, Myanmar People Magazine. In 2014, a joint venture partnership was established with one of the largest Swiss media companies, Ringier AG, and the JV now operates online digital media platforms including Duwun and the Marry Network Myanmar.
